Bath Time

I keep adding photos to our album on line.  When I get a chance, I will separate them, but for now they are all just in one place and we just keeping adding more!  There are already more than 100.  We are THOSE kind of parents already.

We do love our kid and think he is the sweetest but we also got a new camera and it's like a toy for adults!

60+ Books

Our friends at SMU gave us a WONDERFUL Literary Theme Baby Shower. I am so excited that Baby Williams will take after his/her Daddy and start life with a love for reading and collecting books.

I learned a great deal growing up the child of vagabond parents but that lifestyle doesn't lend itself to posessing anything material for long periods of time. One exception being....my blankie, which I slept with well into my 20's! That tradition will live on as well since my friend Carrie made a blanket that is almost identical to the one I had for all those years. I might just have to steal it for myself, I must admit there are tough days where I still miss the best friend I have ever had...ok, maybe second best to my thumb! Let's hope Baby Williams doesn't inherit that habit.

It was just a year ago that I moved to Dallas and I could count the number of people I knew on one hand and that included the girl who worked at Ann Taylor Loft down the street! I am so lucky to be working in RLSH at SMU!!! Our baby is already loved and on the road to being brilliant...Go Mustangs!

1 Year in Dallas

I finally moved to Dallas 1 year ago, today! In many ways, it has been the best year of my life and I am finally 27 days away from being a mother. It's bitter sweet...I miss my beloved Arizona!

I guess I don't miss the South Mountain National Trail/Mormon Loop trail run or Pita Jungle or a monsoon dust storm or the heat of the sun on my face before 8:00 in the morning on a summer day or running the mountain from my front door or the Kuczaj girls or BBQ's with the Ashs' or the view of the mountain from my kitchen or Trader Joe's or the drive to Clarkdale/Jerome or Mormon Lake as much as I missed Darren for the 6 months that we had to live apart. I was just so much more excited to actually be in Dallas....1 year ago than I am today.

So, I just need to choose my attitude and stop missing AZ so much!!! Viva Dallas and welcome to the world my little Texas born baby :)
