Pre School "Art" Work...

I am not sentimental, not about material things.  I am sure that it is a result of losing everything I "owned" every time I went from one parent to another parent or our house burning down when I was 7, etc.  Some people live in the same house, their whole lives with boxes of Barbie's and toys in the attic.  I can remember having lots of Barbies, every Smurf, and a whole Strawberry Shortcake village at some point in my life.  It's not that I did without, I just didn't keep things very long.

What to do with Pre-School Art work from Trevor??  Some of it is downright unrecognizable as "art"...but, what do most people think of Jackson Pollock??  I am thinking that I will just take a photo of each peice of "art" and create a scrapbook...and then throw them in the trash.  Mother of the Year or really great idea?

Take photos of all, make a photobook every few years. And save one hard copy every once in awhile....once a month with intention of weeding out at the end of the year? Then put the hard copies in an envelope in each photobook. Yup, you should do that.

Trevor might not care about it after awhile, but his future family might!

See how much free time I think you have?

I have that very same dilemna but I am worse that I never took pics, just threw it out! The picture idea is awesome though. I am framing some of it and Brody's to put on a wall in a cool collage style.

I have frames that I used to display the artwork for a few weeks when it comes home. Then, I file it away. At the end of the year, I go in and edit the stack to decide what to keep and what to put in the recycle bin. I had about 100 coloring pages that I saved because at the beginning, it was cute, but he would bring one home everyday. I bought an Alex art portfolio to store the stuff that I save. I saved about 1 or 2 of the coloring pages. I save anything with his hand/foot print and stuff made for Mother's/Father's Day. Hope that helps.
